In The Fast Lane

Learn to code with stock car driver William Darrell "Bubba" Wallace Jr. as he guides you through exploring technology used in race car driving.

LINGO is a self-paced, project-based, coding kit complete with fun and engaging online video tutorials and easy-to-follow instructions.

Kickstart students understanding of electronics and coding through the lens of one of America’s most exhilarating sports. In this lesson students will learn:

  1. How to create a prototype to monitor cabin temperature and the heart rate of a race car driver.
  2. How to create a simple race simulator that will measure a race car driver’s ability to react quickly to visual and auditory cues.
  3. How to gather and analyze the reaction times from the simulator to determine if the driver is fit to race.
